1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the PDFmoji service, an online PDF editor published by GO FAST TRANSPORT (“the publisher”), and the purchase of the paid PDFmoji Pro offer. Using the service means accepting these terms.
2. The service
PDFmoji lets you edit, annotate, sign, organize, protect and convert PDF documents. Documents are processed in the user’s browser; they are neither sent to nor kept by the publisher, except for the text or image the user chooses to send to the Assistant (see section 6).
3. Account
Some features require an account, created with an email address. The user is responsible for access to their mailbox, which is used to sign in. They can delete their account at any time from “My account”.
4. Plans and prices
- Free: unlimited merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing and filling in; 3 documents whose text is edited in its original font and 10 Assistant requests per calendar month.
- 7-day pass: €4.99 including VAT, one-time payment with no renewal, access to PDFmoji Pro for 7 days from payment.
- PDFmoji Pro: €7.99 including VAT per month or €59.99 including VAT per year, unlimited edited documents and 300 Assistant requests per calendar month.
A request about a long document or several images counts as several requests (one per block of about 25,000 characters sent, plus one per pair of images), up to 10 per request. To keep the service fair, Assistant use is also limited per hour and per day, and the free Assistant may be temporarily unavailable at peak times. Counters reset on the first day of each month (Paris time). Prices may change; any change is announced at least 30 days in advance and only applies to the next period.
5. Payment, term and cancellation
Payment is made by card through Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. The subscription is monthly or yearly, with no commitment, and renews automatically at the end of each period. The 7-day pass does not renew. The subscription can be cancelled at any time from “My account › Manage my subscription”; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Right of withdrawal. The subscription and the pass give immediate access to the service. By purchasing, the user expressly asks for the service to start before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and acknowledges losing their right of withdrawal for the current period, in accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code. They can still cancel at any time for the following periods.
6. Assistant (artificial intelligence)
The Assistant sends the document’s text, or the image of a page, to the AI provider named in the privacy policy, only when the user starts a request. Its answers may contain mistakes: the user checks the result before using it. Analyses of contracts or letters are not legal, tax or financial advice.
7. Prohibited uses
PDFmoji must not be used to make or alter a document in order to deceive a third party (forgery, article 441-1 of the French Criminal Code), to infringe someone else’s work, to remove a document’s protection without the right to do so, or for any illegal activity. The publisher may suspend an account in case of clearly unlawful use.
8. Liability
The user alone is responsible for the content of their documents and how they use them. They keep a copy of their originals and of their passwords: a protected document whose password is lost cannot be recovered by the publisher. The publisher does its best to keep the service running but does not guarantee it will be uninterrupted; its liability is limited to the amounts paid during the last 12 months.
9. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
10. Complaints and mediation
For any complaint: contact@pdfmoji.com. If a dispute is not resolved, consumers can use the consumer mediator free of charge: CM2C (Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice), 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris – www.cm2c.net. They can also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
11. Language and governing law
These terms are offered in several languages; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails. They are governed by French law, without depriving consumers living in another European Union country of the protection given by the mandatory rules of their country. Failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts are those provided for by law.
